‘Twas the Night Before Christmas at SalesFirst Recruiting

Twas the night before Christmas at SalesFirst Recruiting,
No work to be done, no candidate we’re pursuing.
The job boards were quiet, the emails at rest,
In hopes that the new year would bring out the best.

The sales team had settled, all snug in their beds,
While visions of targets danced in their heads.
And I, with my laptop and a cup of cheer,
Had just settled in for a review of the year.

When out on the street there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from my desk to see what was the matter.
Away to the window I flew like a flash,
Tore open the blinds and threw up the sash.

The moonlight on the snow gave a gleam to the night,
And the glow of the streetlamps was a beautiful sight.
When what to my wondering eyes should appear,
But a sleigh full of leads and a jolly recruiter, I hear.

With a sparkle and charm, so lively and bright,
He offered the gift of new hires tonight.
“Now candidates! Now prospects! Now talent and more!
Let’s fill up those roles and close every door!”

As I watched in awe and listened with cheer,
The recruiter called out, “The best time is near!
For when the new year begins, and resolutions are made,
We’ll be ready with talent, our plans perfectly laid.”

Then, in a flash, he was gone with a bound,
Leaving behind a note and a sleigh with a sound.
The note said, “Happy Hiring! May your new year be bright,
With candidates aplenty and success in your sight.”

I heard him exclaim as he drove out of sight,
“Happy Christmas to all, and to all a great Night!”
